Our purpose
Hive City Bees Urban helps readers understand what keeping bees in the city involves before they acquire bees, equipment or a hive location. The site is international, so it cannot tell a visitor that a particular site is lawful, suitable or safe.
Urban beekeeping can involve stings, severe allergy, fire, lifting, chemicals, food handling, neighbours, public access, animal-health rules and year-round colony care. Our guides therefore organise questions and point readers toward qualified local instructors, apiary authorities, municipalities, property owners, insurers and healthcare professionals.
What we do not provide
We do not provide step-by-step hive manipulation, swarm capture, smoker operation, pesticide dosing, disease diagnosis or emergency medical instruction. We do not sell bees, equipment, honey or training.
